Workin' Workin' Workin'

Well, I must say that these first two weeks of school have been two of the most gruesome and exhausting weeks. I didn't think that this year would be any different than freshman year workload wise. Boy! I was SO wrong. After talking to my roommate -- we've decided that they're testing to see whether or not Sophomores can actually read -- that's all I've been doing. Reading, working, reading, working -- you get the point. It's crazy. I've been on the go non-stop from the time I wake up to the time that I can go sleep. No lie! No exaggeration.

However, other than being wiped out, it's been a fun and eventful two weeks. I can't really complain about being busy, because it's what I asked for. It's nice to not be sitting around all day. I think it's good for me. I feel all official and all having "places to go, people to see, things to do."

Nothing too amazing has happened. I might get an internship at this school up the street. It's called the Governor Morehead School. It's a boarding school for the visually impaired. We'll see how that works out. I emailed the lady asking for more information about the job. Keep me in your prayers! Who knows if I'll even be able to handle it emotionally. All I know is that the lady told me it would be nights and weekends and I would just go and keep the kids entertained.

It seems that my life is being laid out in front of me. I decided to double major in Psych so that I can switch to counseling if I decide I don't like teaching. Also, it seems that all my friends are getting married and having cute little babies. I can't decide if I feel left behing, or jealous, or just amazed at how life works out for different people! Who knows!

NC State lost last night -- 37-0, or something like that. While it was a pitiful loss -- they did hold their ground first half. They're allowed to lose their first game. Plus, they lost their main quarter back before the end of first half. OH well!!!

Well, I'm at work right now, and about to head to class. Woo hoo! Environmental Ethics -- you know you all love it!

'Till next time!

OH! And I forgot to mention the fact that I got to go to the John Mayer concert FOR FREE. It was awesome. My friend was offered six tickets, and OF COURSE she took them. It was an amazing concert:) He's an amazing guy and singer!

Give it a shot:)

Well, basically, I know a good amount of people who use these blog things. I haven't used once since middle school -- and it's definitely not like riding a bike. I've spent the past week trying to figure out how to put up a background. Dang, do I feel ancient;)

I suppose I should update people with my life. ... ... .. Yeah, there's not much to say. I've been attending summer school at NC State to keep up with my Spanish Lingo. Yes, yes; I am a nerd. What can I say? Luckily, though, with the class I just took, I'm pretty sure I'll be confident in my super Spanish speaking abilities enough so to go to SPAIN next summer! Woo hoo!

I will be going back to Meredith on Tuesday (August 12th). I am so excited! i can't wait to be with my roomie and all the other MC girls. Meredith didn't feel right last year, mostly because I got caught up in the NC State scene. I realize, now, that I would have missed MC way too much to have transferred. Therefore, in the fall, I will be attending MC full-time. I will have, officially, declared my major as Spanish with a licensure in education (k-12). I am also considering a double in Psych, but we'll see how that goes.

Life's been pretty grand for the most part. There haven't been any serious issues for a while, and, as many of you know, this is quite the accomplishment. Money has been okay, family has been okay, and school has been great. Overall, I'm the happiest I've been in years! Woo!

Though I still have two long months until the date, I'm almost twenty. While many of you are already twenty or older, it seems quite the big deal. Not because I expect it to be, but saying aloud, "I'm twenty years old," just feels like a 100lb. bag just got tossed on your back -- more responsibility and expectations. I suppose that, after high school, I can probably handle it:)

I suppose I should mention the current boyfriend. We've been dating for more than seven months now. Quite the accomplishment I must say! Things have been a little rocky recently, but mostly because school has been stressful and we've been hanging out everyday... all day. :) He's the best thing that's ever happened to me, though. It sounds cliche, but true. We're just taking things one step at a time. After all, we're only 19 -- we've got quite a few years to live before anything serious happens!

Well, I think that's about all. I've got a final exam tomorrow == I'm aiming for an A!! Wish me luck:)
